To safely deliver materials to the garage bay of a residential jobsite, it’s essential to consider various jobsite conditions to ensure a smooth and secure delivery. Here’s a list of acceptable jobsite conditions for such deliveries:

• Customer Contact: Establishing clear communication between the delivery personnel and site staff to coordinate the delivery process effectively is of vital importance. A representative must be available to receive phone calls or texts for updates on the day of delivery or help with accessing gated communities.
• Gates/ Gated Communities: All Builder and jobsite information along with gate or entrance access codes must be provided prior to the day of delivery to ensure smooth access to the delivery site.
• Customer Representative: The customer, builder or tile contractor must be present to receive materials and packing slip at the time of delivery. Failure to do so will forfeit any right to claim shortage or missing materials.
• Delivery Window: Our goal is to deliver all requested goods in a timely fashion. That said, unforeseen circumstances such as but not limited to weather, traffic, weight limitations or delays from a previously scheduled delivery may affect your delivery window. Our driver will contact the appointed representative prior to departure with an estimated time of delivery.
• Rescheduling a Delivery: The customer, builder or tile contractor must provide 24 hour advance notice to reschedule a delivery. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in a $150 charge.
• Missed Delivery/ Customer not Home: An additional delivery fee will be charged for rescheduled deliveries if the original delivery conditions are not adhered to, such as the absence of customer or builder representation at the delivery site, or the lack of a clear access path, among other factors.
• Clear Access Path: The delivery path leading to the garage bay should be free from obstructions, debris, or vehicles to ensure unimpeded access for the forklift.
• Level Ground: The ground surface should be level and stable to prevent the forklift from tilting or becoming unstable during unloading.
• Solid Ground: The pathway to the garage should have adequate crushed stone on the driveway to ensure that the forklift does not become stuck in unsettled clay or loose gravel.
• Adequate Space: There should be enough space in the garage bay for the forklift to park safely and for the materials to be unloaded without overcrowding.
• Secure Storage: If materials need to be stored in the garage bay for an extended period, make sure there are secure storage options, such as locking garage doors. Securing delivered materials is the sole responsibility of the customer or builder. Traditions in Tile at Brier Creek is not responsible for any loss due to theft.
• Inclement Weather: Our Company prioritizes the safety of our personnel and the integrity of our deliveries. In cases of inclement weather that pose risks to the well-being of our staff and the condition of the cargo, we maintain a policy to postpone deliveries to ensure safety and protect the quality of our services.
• Limitations: Because of the characteristics of the forklift, we can only perform deliveries in driveways or garages. Operating the forklift on loose gravel may lead to the forklift becoming stuck.
